Helen Agnes Baity, formerly of Vermillion, died peacefully January 20, 2021 at Aurora-Brule Care & Rehab, White Lake, SD at the age of 92. Helen was born on March 25, 1928 in the Jefferson-Elk Point, SD area, the daughter of George & Odella (Ouellette) Hubert. She completed her high school education in the local area. She married George Baity, on July 18, 1947, made their home in Vermillion, and enjoyed 73 years of marriage. Helen was a homemaker, librarian at Vermillion Public Library, and worked together with George at the rental homes and apartments they owned. In her spare time, she loved to crochet, knit, and quilt. She was a loving wife and the best mother a son could ever have. Helen was preceded in death by parents, George and Odella Hubert; brothers: Leonard, Leo, Raymond, twin brothers Harold and Gerald Hubert. She is survived by son Dale (Patty) Rapid City; one sister, Beatrice McGuire, of Beresford; two sisters-in-law: Connie and Jeannette Hubert, and a host of other relatives, nephews, and nieces.
