Mr. Edward Comfort, Jr., 85 of Hardin, KY died on Friday, January 22, 2021, at his home. He was a retired Unlimited Master Sea Captain (Harbor Pilot) and served his country as a US Marine. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Jeannie (Sweeten) Comfort of Hardin, KY, sons, Michael Comfort of CA, , Pat Comfort of CA, and Chris Long of Calvert City, KY, daughters, Deborah Ring of Montana, and Jill Comfort of CA, , sister, Christine Norton, husband Gary of Union City, TN, several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Patrick and Inez (Pryor) Comfort. No services are scheduled at this time. Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY is handling arrangements.
