Graveside Service for Mr. William C. Fuqua, 59 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Sterrs Cemetery. Public viewing will be Friday from 1-5 at Reynolds Funeral Home.  Mr. Fuqua died on January 21, 2020 at the Parkway Campus of Decatur Morgan Hospital. 

William Charles Fuqua was born on February 3, 1961 in Athens Alabama to the late Mr. Joe Alonzo and Sallie Will Fuqua.  He entered into eternal life on January 21, 2021 in Decatur, Alabama. He was a very vigilant, gallant and persistent man. He was a man of God and he was always ready to ensure someones happiness. 

William was a 1978 graduate of Athens High School. He was baptized with the Holy Ghost on October 21, 1990 at Pentecostal Lighthouse. He worked at Conagra for many years, where he soon met the love of his life. Alfredia. William and Alfredia met in 1994 and were United in holy matrimony on February 3, 1995. They had one son and one daughter. They were married for twenty-five years. Throughout the years, William had worked at Pilgrim Pride and Wayne Farms and retired in 2013. 

William was a Baltimore Ravens fan, sports were his favorite and he loved the Auburn Tigers. William was a hardworking man that provided for his family. He loved the Lord and he wasn't afraid to let someone know about his Lord and Savior. He loved to pray, sing and worship his father. William had a heart of gold and he made sure that you got a good laugh in any conversation. He was wise beyond his years which helped impact the lives of his children and people around him. He was able to give advice in certain areas when you weren't sure what to do. He had a leadership mentality and a mind that was strong and swift. William taught you how to be yourself, speak your mind and enjoy life no matter what anyone said or thought about you. He was a devoted husband a caring father and anchored in his faith. He excised his right as one to complete his task here on earth. His purpose has been fulfilled on earth as it is in Heaven.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving, devoted and adored family; Alfredia Miraine Fuqua (Wife) Marques Balentine (Son) Tyessa Renea Ann Fuqua (Daughter) Marilyn Malone (Sister) of Athens, Alabama Sharon D. Fuqua (Sister) of Boston, Massachusetts , Rossie D. Oglesby (Aunt) who was like a mother; Annie Mae Balentine (Mother-in-Law); his sisters in law, Jacqueline Ann Balentine Smith (Marshall), Rosland Dianna Balentine Simmons (Oris) ; brothers in law, Kenneth Bernard Balentine (Erline), Anthony LeRoy Balentine (Mekima), Gary Damone Balentine (Sharone)and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
