Theda Boll

Theda Boll, 91, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 11:48 am Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Heritage Health in Mount Sterling, IL. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 29, 2021 at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. Rev. Steve Disseler will officiate. The family is being served by the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy. Theda was born February 14, 1929, in Quincy, IL to Ada York. She was married to Ralph G. Boll on June 5, 1948 in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2008. Survivors include one daughter, Shelia Enright of Quincy, IL; two grandchildren, James Casey (Nichole) and Jay Enright (Jessica); eight great-grandchildren, Brentt Casey, Brittany Casey, CJ Rudcil, Justin Casey, Kayla Enright, Vicki Enright, Zoey Enright, and Samantha Enright; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Violet Gioviannia. In addition to her husband, Theda was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerome Gioviannia. Theda owned and operated the Theda Boll Nursing Home in Quincy. She later worked at Blessing Hospital as a nurse, which is where she retired from after over 40 years. In her free time, Theda enjoyed bowling, shopping, gambling, and eating at Village Inn.
