<p>Raymond Haider, 82, of Mandan, ND, passed away January 20, 2021 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Joshua Waltz as celebrant.&nbsp; Burial to follow in the Mandan Union Cemetery. &nbsp;Following the&nbsp;graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club in Mandan.</p> <p>Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Weigel Funeral Home with a parish vigil service at 7:00 PM.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Raymond was born January 31, 1938 in Bismarck, ND to Steven &amp; Catherine (Thomas) Haider of Solen, ND, and attended country school.&nbsp; He married the love of his life, Geraldine &ldquo;Geri&rdquo; Stein, on August 22, 1959 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan.&nbsp; They made their home in Mandan and raised three daughters.&nbsp; Ray served in the National Guard Reserves for 8 years and made his career as a cattle buyer.&nbsp; He took no greater joy than buying and delivering a true front end set of cattle.&nbsp; Ray&rsquo;s pride and joy came from his three daughters and his grandchildren.&nbsp; He loved his family passionately.&nbsp; In his later years, Ray enjoyed spending time and caretaking the Little Soldier Ranch near Mandan.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ray&rsquo;s family would like to thank Dr. Tello and the Sanford medical staff for their care along with those special prayer warriors during his recent illness.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his wife, Geraldine &ldquo;Geri&rdquo; of Mandan;&nbsp; two daughters, Susie (Dale) Little Soldier of Mandan, and Sherrie (Toby) Kuntz of Mandan;&nbsp; three grandchildren, Summer &amp; Stetson Kuntz of Mandan, and Cooper (Carly) Fitchner of Louisville, CO;&nbsp; sister, Ann (Matt) Hatzenbuhler of Mandan;&nbsp; two brothers, Leonard (Lenora) Haider and Bob (Sharon) Haider, both of Mandan; and a sister-in-law, Judy Haider of Solen, ND.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Ray was preceded in death by his daughter (Becky Haider Fitchner), brother (John Haider), sisters (Cathy Haider Kramer &amp; Florence Haider Hatzenbuhler), and a life-long friend (Joe Berger).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Raymond Haider, 82, of Mandan, ND, passed away January 20, 2021 at Sanford Health in Bismarck.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan with Fr. Joshua Waltz as celebrant.  Burial to follow in the Mandan Union Cemetery.  Following the graveside service, a luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club in Mandan.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Weigel Funeral Home with a parish vigil service at 7:00 PM.
