Jo Ellen Thompson

Jo Ellen Thompson, 53, of Ripley passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Clay Health Care Center in Ivydale following an extended illness. She was born March 6, 1967 at Elkhart, Indiana a daughter of Betty Jo Blankenship Gibson and the late William Darrell Gibson. She was a CNA who had a love for animals, especially her German Sheppard, Tundra. She also loved spending time with her only granddaughter Paisley Madilyn Marie Thompson. In addition to her mother she is survived by her children John Thompson, Kyle Thompson and Samantha Shull; granddaughter Paisley Madilyn Marie Thompson; brothers John Gibson, Richard Gibson and William Gibson Jr.; sisters Ann Erickson, Libby Barnette and Rita White. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney J. Gibson. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 4-6 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
