Kay Nicklin Obituary

Nicklin, Kay

1928 - 2021

It is with much sadness the family of Kay Nicklin announce her passing on January 20, 2021 at age 92. She was a victim of Covid. Mom was born and raised on a farm South of Sheho, SK. She married Marvin in 1950 and they farmed east of Wynyard. After several moves throughout Sask with Marvin’s career, they made their final move to Saskatoon in 1992. She was an active member of St. Martin’s United Church and one of the best gardeners we knew. Anyone attending her home for a meal, hoped for an opportunity to be invited back. She was a kind, caring Mom, Grandma and friend and loved by so many. She received many daily phone calls and visits from family and friends. We often wondered how she could keep up. And she kept well informed about happenings in world. Mom was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Hubelit, her 11 brothers and sisters, her husband Marvin (2019), and her son Bob (2016). She will be missed by daughters Sandra (Lionel), Tammy (Bill), sons Grant (Arlene), Owen (Ann Marie), Tim (Candace) and daughter-in-law Zuly (Bob) and her 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A small family gathering will take place at Mourning Glory Funeral Services on January 22, 2021. Interment will take place this summer. Memorial donations may be made to St Paul’s Hospital Foundation/Hospice Saskatoon. Arrangements in care of Chelsea Krentz – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
