Melvina Reichel

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Melvina Minnie Reichel at age 97 on January 21, 2021 at Crescent Park Lodge. She leaves behind 3 children: Judy (Ron) Sayles, Kevin (Judy), and Tara (Dan) Knutt.
12 Grandchildren: Michelle (Greg) Gordon, Colleen (Augusto) Duminuco, Kelly (Mark) Walmsley, Carrie (Bob) Bedell, Aimee Sayles, Suzy Sayles, Ronnie Sayles, Jodi (Tracy) Reichel, Paul (Robin) Reichel, Blake Reichel, Jeremey (Andrea) Knutt and Joshua Knutt.
19 Great Grandchildren: Shirelle, Brandon, Daniel, Sean, Briauna, Tausha, Luc, Devon, Madelyne, Matthew, Megan, Reichel, Nathan, Carter, Emily, Abigail, James, Selene and Alice.
2 Great Great Grandchildren: Lilly and Louie
Predeceased by her husband Ronald, daughter Shirley Haney, great granddaughter Samantha Yarrow, her parents, 3 sisters and 5 brothers.
She is also survived by her sister Margaret Jardine and brother George Vennard.
Mom lived at home in Ridgeway until she was 94. She loved going to bingo with her family up till 1 year ago. She was a dedicated RNA at Crescent Park Lodge Nursing home when they first opened until her retirement in 1987.
The family wants to thank Dr. Scher for his kindness and compassion, and a very heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful caring staff at Crescent Park Lodge for their dedicated and devoted care of mom especially in the last few months, during these very trying times.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Crescent Park Lodge Recreation Department who do such a wonderful job providing activities and entertainment for the residents.
