Thaddeus Octavius James Dargan was born on June 19, 1976, to James Dargan and Calena James Dargan in Florence, South Carolina. He passed away on January 21, 2021. Thaddeus was affectionately known by his family and friends as just "Thadd." Thadd was a proud 1994 graduate of Wilson High School. After graduating, he attended Limestone College on a football scholarship. At an early age, Thadd became a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he served at various capacities growing up. Thadd was employed with Florence District One school system at the time of his death. For years, Thadd worked in the Bingo Hall and spread joy and laughter throughout the hall. He was known for his ability to tint windows; people would flock to him for the chance for him to work on their cars Thadd was a spirited person who loved life and adored all sports, but especially football. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan and loved the Chicago Bulls. He would defend both of his teams to the utmost. He was also fond of video games and could often be found playing games with his friends and family. Thadd was a proud Mama's Boy and he would never miss a day to check in on his mother. His mother would receive a call from him every day between 10 am to 2 pm. Thadd will truly be missed. He is survived by his companion Takiya Rogers, by his parents Calena and James Dargan, his three sons, Kwashaun (Shavonte) Ward of Columbia SC, Chane Grant of Lilburn, GA and Shyheem Bryant, US Navy, Japan, one granddaughter Kamryn London of Columbia, SC, his two brothers, Timothy (Doretha) Dargan of Florence, SC, Jamie (Jatori) Dargan of Charleston, SC and two sisters Wanda Dargan of Charleston, SC and Sherrill Powell of Florence, Two Uncles, Larry(Brenda) James and Edward Dargan of Florence SC, Three Aunts, Frances (Willie) Riley and Denise (Maurice) Jackson both of Florence, SC, and Mary (Ron) Muller of Boise, Idaho, a special brother in Derrick Alexander, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Thadd is now in heaven with his grandson, Shaun Ward.
