Carl Secondo Enfield, Connecticut Obituary

Carl Secondo

Carl F. Secondo, 77, lifelong resident of Enfield, died on Monday, January 18, 2021. Carl, also known as "Butch", was born on January 15, 1944, to Thomas and Vera (Sisteri) Secondo. A machinist by trade, he spent nearly 50 years in the industry. Early on, he worked at Kidder Stacy, Phoenix Manufacturing, and Windsor Manufacturing, among others. As an avid golfer, he went as often as he could. That was along with his evenings playing setback and his bowling leagues. He also really enjoyed Las Vegas, having gone multiple times and anywhere it was warm enough to play golf. He had spent some years designing and crafting colonial-style miniature furniture, had built a Saltbox doll house, whose details went to individual boards on the floors, working windows and a shingled roof. He had a natural talent as a mechanic and was working on a vintage Ford truck. He utilized his talents on used cars for the family and only purchased 2 new cars in his life - Both black Fords. We would joke that our Dad had more friends than his kids; it's true. It wasn't just one group of friends; he was part of many. He was always honest and spoke his mind. A generous, smart, funny man and a character that loved to give us all a good ribbing will be sorely missed. Butch is survived by his daughter, Janine Allevo and son, Glenn Secondo. Other extended family members that meant so much to our father include Rosalie Grimaldi, Denise Foley, Diane Foley and her 3 daughters, Rose Foley, Daniel and Autumn Grimaldi and their 3 children, Alvin and Lynne Pierog of Somers, John, Keith, Sandy, Rudy and more...his many friends at Cards, Golf, Bowling, and the Enfield Senior Center; He talked about you all often and you meant so much to him. He is predeceased by his wife, Elaine (Pierog) Secondo. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we regret that no services will be held. Condolences can be sent to Secondo, P.O. Box 4, Enfield, CT 06083.
