Richard R. Wagner

Richard R. Wagner, of Byram Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday January 21, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dover on November 15, 1951 to the late George and Helyn (Busser) Wagner, "Rick" resided in Flanders, Succasunna and Stanhope prior to moving to Byram 40 years ago. He was the Owner/Operator of Bait and Boat Sport Shop in Stanhope since 1977. Rick loved hunting and was a long time member of the Budd Lake Hilltop Gun Club. He also held dual membership in the Blairstown and Musconetcong Masonic Lodges. In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by his brother George. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ruth (Pellegrino), children Richard R. Wagner, Jr., Robin Raabe (Saul) and Rosemary Lang (James), three grandchildren Ashley Wagner, Jack Lang and Kathryn Lang, brother William Wagner (Grace) and nieces Michele, Alecia, Beth and Susan. Rick's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday January 24, 2021 From 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A prayer service and eulogy will be offered Monday January 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 AM Monday morning. Rick will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation of your choice.
