Violet Johnson

Violet Mundras Johnson, 89, of East Windsor passed away Thursday January 21, 2021 at her residence. Born in Roebling, NJ; she had been an area resident for the past 70 years. Daughter of the late Peter and Florence Bodea Mundras and predeceased by her husband, James V. Johnson, beloved son, James Wayne Johnson, brothers, John, Victor and Alex Mundras and sisters, Mary Bauer, Anna Moisa and Florence Murkli. Vi was also predeceased by her beloved cat, Tiger. Violet is survived by her daughter, Debra Lynn Menichelli (Paul), granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Croshaw (Clint), grandson, Brian G. Daniels (Tracey), great grandchildren, Emma Lynn and Jackson C. Croshaw, brother, Emil Mundras and his wife Margaret and many nieces and nephews. Vi was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hightstown since 1964; she was a former member of Hightstown TP8’s of National Campers and Hikers Association and a former member of Hightstown East Windsor Autumn Club. Vi was also a former member of the VFW Post 5700 where she served as President of the Auxiliary and was President of District 18 VFW Auxiliary. Family meant everything to her and as per her wishes private cremation and services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Because of her deep love of animals, donations in Violet’s name may be made to a local animal shelter of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home, Hightstown.
