Arnold Gerald Duane Taylor, known to all as Jerry, died peacefully January 21, 2021 in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was 80 years of age. Jerry was born on June 29, 1940 in St. Clair Shores, son of the late Arnold and Viola (Boddy) Taylor. He was united in marriage to his devoted wife, Pamela Meech, on October 6, 1978 at Triumphant Cross Church of St. Clair Shores. The couple made their home in Warren for 28 years, returning back to St. Clair Shores in 2006. Jerry retired from General Motors after 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed staying busy, so after retirement, he took up part-time work; and worked for Macomb Daily and McCoy Maintenance. Jerry's favorite past time was out on the golf course and enjoying a nice cold drink. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was patient as a saint, very giving and understanding. He will always be known for his sense of humor and the love he shared to family and friends throughout his journey of life. Jerry will be deeply missed and his light will continue to glow in our hearts forever. Jerry is the loving husband of Pamela; dearest father of Maureen Marquez, Sandy (Jim) Lavender and Brett Taylor; cherished grandfather of April (Andy), Brandon, Zachary, Courtney, Chris, Morgan, Liam and Lucas; dear brother of Barbara Stafford and Earl Hulbert; and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Hulbert, June Newby, Leona Dalecke, Joanne Forbes, and Bonnie Forbes. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 4-7pm with a funeral service beginning at 7pm at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026.
