June Elizabeth Medinger passed away after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Beloved wife of Will Medinger of Branford. Beloved mother of Shannon Caruso of Meriden, Anthony Caruso of Branford, Ralph Caruso (wife Nikki) of Sarasota, FL, William Medinger V of Branford, Vanessa Medinger of Branford, and Brittany Medinger (husband Javier) of Sarasota, FL. Sister of Linda Oertel of Hamden. She was also survived by seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Felicia Varriale. June was born in New Haven on March 29, 1955, a daughter of the late Judson and Lura Hemstock Oertel. She was a long time Branford resident where she ran her own business, Computer Care. Services and burial will be private. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford is in care of arrangements. Memorial donations in June’s name may be made to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 East Main St. Branford, CT 06405.
