Mr. Jimmy Lynn Williams, Sr., 72, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 while at Novant Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on January 24, 1948 in Bluefield, West Virginia, a son of the late James Emmett and Beryl Gilmore Williams. Jimmy worked most of his adult life as a truck driver. He loved life, known to have a strong opinion but knew no strangers. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Anthony Lyna.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Tilley Williams, of the home; son, Jimmy Lynn Williams, Jr.(Misty) of Lexington; daughter, Sheri Lynn Scharf (Tommy) of Lexington; three brothers, Douglas Williams (Donna) of Winston-Salem, Timothy Williams, and Stephen Williams both of Lexington; three sisters, JoAnn Perez, Darlene Kishbaugh (Buddy), and Tina Williams all of Norfolk, Virginia; and four grandchildren, Haili, Asia, Brooke, and Logan.
