Louis N. "Geno" DeLeonardis

<p>Louis N. &ldquo;Geno&rdquo; DeLeonardis, 95, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday January 21, 2021 at the Country Club Manor in Steubenville, OH.</p> <p>He was born February 22, 1925 in Steubenville, OH a son of the late Attilio and Christine (Appignani) DeLeonardis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Johanna R.&nbsp;&ldquo;JoAnn&rdquo; (Lonetto)&nbsp;DeLeonardis on February 3, 2008; a brother, Ralph DeLeonardis; and a sister, Erma Boggia.</p> <p>Geno retired in 1986 from the Locomotive Shop at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served his country during W.W. II as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; the American Legion Post 33 in Steubenville; The Mingo Knights of Columbus Council 4361, and the Mingo Senior Citizens Club.</p> <p>Surviving are two sons, David (Sharon) DeLeonardis and Robert (Joan) DeLeonardis, both of Sacramento, CA; and two grandchildren, Julian and Olivia DeLeonardis.</p> <p>In following with Geno&rsquo;s request there will be no services. I am so sorry to hear the passing of your Dad.  
Geno had 51 years of service with the Mingo Knights of Columbus Council 4361.
He always enjoyed the council events.
