Roy Douglas Newcomb, 68, of Davy WV, passed away, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY. Born August 8, 1952 in Welch WV, he was the son of the late Dennis and Myrtle Adams Newcomb. He was a resident of Davy the greater part of his life. He was a member of the Asco Community Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved hanging out with his grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife Alice Faye Newcomb, one brother Troy Newcomb, and one sister, Barbara Christian.Survivors include, two daughters, Allison Hale and husband Michael of Davy WV, Stephanie Brantley and companion Steven Smith of Welch WV, one son, Jackie Hale of Davy WV, five grandchildren, Anthony Hale, Jonathan Hale, Robert Hale, Matthew Hale, Taylor Smith; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Arthur, Hunter, and Brooklyn; four brothers, Eugene Newcomb of Alexandria VA, Willie Newcomb of Davy WV, Bobby Newcomb of Davy WV, and Paul Newcomb of Davy WV; one sister, Margaret Donithan of Gary WV.Funeral Services will be conducted, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 12 Noon from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Pastor Otis Lester officiating; burial will follow at Asco Community Cemetery in Asco WV. Friends may call Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch WV. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
