Dolores Maria Delarosa, 76, of Canute, Oklahoma was born on August 20, 1944 in Wharton, Texas to Christino and Francis (Vagellos) Lopez. Dolores went to walk the streets of gold with her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2021 at her residence in Canute surrounded by her loving family. She married her sweetheart, Jose “Joe” Delarosa in July of 1995 in Sayre, Oklahoma. She raised six children and that was what kept her busy for many years as a stay-at-home mother. Dolores enjoyed working in the yard and with her rose bushes, cooking and traveling with her husband Joe and her children. Above all she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel in Elk City, Oklahoma. Chaplain Laura Nell Hays will officiate. Interment will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Canute, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing her memory is her husband, Joe Delarosa of the home; one son, David Hernandez of Elk City, Oklahoma; four daughters, Louisa Carlisle and her husband, Randy of Canute, Oklahoma; Josie Gallagher and her husband, Jason Womack, Irene Howard and her husband, Craig all of Elk City, Oklahoma, Maria Navejas of Canute, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Derek Hernandez, D.J. Gallagher and his wife, Shelby, Anthony Gallagher, Taylor Howard and her fiancé, Logan Boese, Christopher Howard, Brooklyn Howard all of Elk City, Oklahoma, Able Navejas of Canute, Oklahoma, Danny Navejas and his wife, Beth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; ten great grandchildren, Dayton Hernandez, Ariah Hernandez, Brinnleigh Hernandez all of Palestine, Texas, Gavin Gallagher, Cora Gallagher both of Elk City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Raymond Lopez of Milan, Illinois, Chris Lopez of Bettendorf, Iowa; three sisters, Francis Ornelas and her husband, Victor of Duke, Oklahoma, Pat Cummings and her husband, Bob of Arkansas, Rosemarie Rohr and her husband, Tom of Plymouth, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Juan Hernandez and Danny Hernandez; parents, Christino and Francis Lopez; one brother, Richard Lopez; two sisters, Martha Garcia and Josephine Esparza.
