Theresa Dunne
<p>Theresa “Terry” Dunne (Schmitt), 91, of Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. Born in Guttenberg, NJ, she lived and worked in Palisades Park, NJ as a Secretary for Teledyne Farris Engineer until retirement when she moved to the Ocean County area 30 years ago. She was a long-term dedicated parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Berkeley Township. Generous and giving are just two words that describe Terry well. Her favorite hobby and pastime was knitting. Whether it was Christmas stockings or mittens, afghans or baby sweaters, the all too familiar sight was Terry in her lounge chair, watching her game shows, knitting needles in hand. Much of her beautiful work was donated to the Holiday Heights Annual Fair, but the majority was created for family and friends to cherish forever. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph, as well as her parents George and Anna Schmitt (Monachek). Theresa is survived by her son Jay and his wife Debra (Debbi) Dunne of River Vale, NJ, her daughter Jean Dunne of Doylestown, PA, sister Marie Miller of VT, brother George Schmitt and his wife, Cheryl, of PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 12pm at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow to the BG William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
