<p>Adger Clayton Standridge, 92, husband of the late Joy Patterson Standridge, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021.<br /> <br /> Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Cromer and Leila Standridge.<br /> <br /> Mr. Standridge proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy for 30 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a veteran of multiple wars having served during WWII, Korean War and Vietnam. After his retirement from the military, he was a salesman at Fairway Ford. Mr. Standridge was a Mason at the Sam Poe Lodge and a Shriner. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and the YMCA in Travelers Rest, where he made many friends and enjoyed numerous activities. He loved to travel to the beach where he enjoyed surf fishing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed greatly.<br /> <br /> Mr. Standridge is survived by daughters, Jackie S. Bramlett and Deb K. Standridge; three granddaughters, Lauree Cole (Trevor), Heather Leigh Cannon (Derrick) and Ashley Bramlett (Michael); four great grandchildren, Teghan, Carson, Brock, and Julia Joy; a special cousin who was like a brother, Stanley Lesley; and a sister-in-law, Susan Standridge; and nephews, Todd and Calder Standrige.<br /> <br /> In addition to his loving wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Eugene Standridge.<br /> <br /> A private inurnment will be held at a later date.<br /> <br /> In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 901 Easley Bridge Road, Greenville, SC 29611.<br /> <br /> Condolences may be left for the family by visiting the Tribute Wall on www.thomasmcafee.com.<br /> <br /> Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.</p>
