Milford - Beverly W. Pleasanton went home to join his wife Pat in Heaven on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born in Middletown, Delaware on September 30, 1929, son of the late Beverly W. and Emily Pleasanton.

Dad worked as a self-employed mechanic in his younger years and later as Independent Truck Driver. In the late 80’s, Dad went to work as a motor grader operator, working for James Julian Inc., Hardaway Construction, and Pierson. After retirement, he purchased the first of 4 of his own motor graders and became a small businessman again. When Mom became ill, he stopped working and devoted his time to taking care of her every day until her death.

 Dad enjoyed taking rides with Mom, time with family, shooting sporting clays, and camping. Dad also enjoyed riding with his friend Charlie Harding while they inspected local countryside. He was also a charter member of the Milford Elks Lodge #2401

Dad was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Patricia W. Pleasanton, his sister Jeanette, and his best friend, Charles Harding. Dad is survived by his sons, N. Curtis Walls and wife Lynn of Lincoln,  Charles W. Johnson and wife Sue of Ozark, Alabama, Daniel L. Collins and wife Annita of Harrington, Michael A. Collins and wife Brenda and Thomas P. Collins and wife Carol all of Milford, Ed Walls and his late wife, Dee of Millsboro, and daughter Joanne and husband Bob Bashore of Elkton, MD, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, DE 19963 from 10AM to 11AM on Tuesday 1/26 with a funeral service at 11AM. Please bring mask as they are required.

Interment is Milford Community Cemetery.
