Gloria Mary Camp Chenevert passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 92. She is survived by her children: Albert St. Romain (Darlene) and Ellen Chenevert Herry (Donald), grandchildren: Jeffrey St. Romain (Debbie), Jeremy St. Romain, and Gabrielle Herry Broussard (Jacob), great-grandchildren: Mila, Tristan, Kora, and Emery St. Romain. Also, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: James (Pancho) Chenevert, father: Clarence Camp, mother: Albertine Cure Camp, brothers: Clarence Camp, Jr. and Emile Camp. Gloria was born in New Orleans, LA in 1928. She was a retired floral designer at Key Florals in New Orleans and loved flowers but her true passion was cooking. She was a wonderful cook and she shared her passion for cooking with her children and grandchildren. Her recipes will live on as each generation recreates the dishes she loved to cook for her family. A celebration of life ceremony will be held to honor Gloria with family and friends at a later date. Burial will be private. A special thank you to the healthcare workers at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center for the great care provided to Gloria over the past several years.
