<p><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;"><span style="font-size:24px;">John Walter Hackett<br /> Beloved husband to Linda McKnight Hackett , loving father to Elizabeth(Michael) Woodruff, Mary Ann(James) Bertrams, Margaret(Donald) Perkins and Ken Hackett, amazing grandfather to Helen Cole, Sarah and Claire Woodruff, Lauren(Eric) Gardner, Matthew and Jonathan Bertrams and Kyle Hackett, dear great grandfather to Carter and Naomi Gardner. He is survived by his brother David(Char) Hackett. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Dorothy O&rsquo;Brien Hackett and his parents Keith and Gertrude Hackett. John passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 at the age of 86. John had a wonderful life. He was an engineer for 35 years with P&amp;G, served in the United States Air Force, was a great loyal friend to many, donated much of his time to social service agencies such as Kiwanis, Hoxworth, Burns Home, and donated annually to a variety of causes. John was known for his love of the ocean, fire pits, lake houses and his sailing adventures. He loved his Faith, family, friends and dogs equally. John has left a gentle footprint on all of our hearts and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Freestore Foodbank, 1141 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
