Linda Ann Jerry Red Crow Obituary

Linda Ann Jerry Red Crow born March 29, 1953 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 17, 2021 at the Foot Hills Medical Centre, Calgary Alberta.

Linda lived her younger life on the road travelling with the Rebels Fastball club as the scorekeeper. Linda was an avid entrepreneur catering and doing banquets for functions in Siksika Nation. Linda owned and operated her own bus service for Siksika Education and Employment. She also owned and operated Siksika Nation’s first Video Galore store and Arcade. Being the oldest of the siblings Linda was delegated to be the coordinator for family losses. She worked in the Security industry and even went as far as working up north in Fort McMurray. For many pow wow seasons Linda co-operated “Bannock Busters”, with her sisters. Linda was also the main cook for her grandsons Zack’s Food Shack truck. She travelled to the local pow- wows and Lac St Anne pilgrimage to support the family business. She looked forward to attending the Calgary Stampede yearly with her grandchildren. Favourite past time included venturing off to Grey Eagle casino. Her biggest life achievements were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Linda will be remembered by her husband of 48 years Gordon Red Crow Sr.; Mother in law Virginia Medicine Traveller; Stepmom Doreen Jerry; Sons Gordon Red Crow Jr.(Deanna) and Darcy Red Crow; grandchildren Desmond Red Crow(Brook), Taylor Beebe(Kyle), Rhianna Many Heads, Chevy Winnipeg, Kali Beebe, Nicholas Plaited Hair; great grandchildren Riley Powderface, Everlit Red Old Man, Annalise Red Old Man; Sisters Arlen Jerry(Charlie), Betty Bastien(Harley), Jacqueline Bear(Trent), Michelle Good Eagle(Shawn), Shannon Lennon(Jessie), Cecilia Jerry, Caroline Jerry Big Child; Brothers Terry Kennedy(Alanna), Leslie Jerry(Carmella), Cameron Jerry(Allison), Alvin Jerry( Sonya), Arnold Jerry(Beverly), Ronald Jerry(Maxine), Donald Jerry, Sam Jerry(Roberta), Elroy Jerry( Connie), and Rowland Jerry( Angeline), Gerald Sitting Eagle (Laura); Brother in laws Allan Medicine Traveller(Jennifer), Gary Red Crow, Reynolds Medicine Traveller; Sister in laws; Rita Many Guns, Myrna Running Rabbit(Morris), Brenda Red Crow, Letisha Red Crow, Sharon Red Crow; Uncle Donnie Anderson; Aunt Roberta Pelletier and Ruth Scalplock; cousin Alice Anderson and Michelle Thrush; Godson Denny Jerry and Trevor Bastien; god daughter Carly Wells; family in law Noel Yellowfly and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Linda Ann was predeceased by her mother Ruby and George Jerry; Jonas and Edna Jerry; Jim & Alpha Jerry,  granddaughter Tanita Winnipeg Red Crow; grandson Zachary Gordon Beebe; Brothers Bradley and Carlos Jerry; Sister Patsy Jerry; Father in law Allan Medicine Traveller ; Uncle Delbert Anderson, Tom Anderson and Orville Pelletier; Auntie Angie Anderson, Margaret Anderson and  Elizabeth Anderson; Grandpa and Grandma Charlie and Rose Anderson; Aunties Rita Running Rabbit and Mary Sitting Eagle, Nina Wolf Leg; loving brother Edward Jerry Sr. and Randy Jerry; sister in law Harvina Red Crow; nephews Marlon Peacemaker, Rambert Red Crow, Kelly Red Crow and Jason Red Crow.

A wake service will be held at Gordon & Linda’s residence at Map 3- House 22 on Friday, January  22, 2021  at 6:00 pm in accordance with 20 people as per Health regulations.  Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Father Long Vu will be officiating, followed by a Graveside Service at Paul Little Walker Gravesite. We would like to remind people who will be attending the Wake service and Funeral Service that masks must be worn and hand sanitiser will be made available, in accordance with local Covid-19 Health regulations.

The family apologizes if there are any names we may have missed and would like to thank  Foothills Medical Centre staff Unit 94 and everyone who has kept the family in prayer during this difficult time.
