Melvin Jay Wilson, 85 died on January 20, 2021. Born on July 9, 1935 to Joseph M and Mable Tripp Wilson in Murray, Utah. On November 19, 1952 he married Lynette Ball who he loved for 68 years and in his words was “his first love and his last”. Together they have 5 children; Jeffrey Jay (Kathleen), (divorced Lynn), Terre Ray (Vicki), Jolyn (Don), Bruce Curt (Staci), Brad William (Doreen); 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Dad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. You could find him at River Oaks Golf Course working and hanging out. He also loved playing cards with family and friends. He was our loving, hardworking father! He is preceded in death by his spouse, Lynette; son, Jeffrey Jay; parents, Joseph and Mable; brothers, Don and Lorin Wilson; and grandchild. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:00pm at South Jordan Cemetery 10630 So. 1055 W. South Jordan, Utah. Funeral Directors: Salt Lake Valley Mortuary.Obituary
