Maurice W. Patterson

<p><strong>&nbsp;Boscawen - Maurice W. Patterson 82, passed away peacefully Monday, January 18, 2021 at home with&nbsp;his&nbsp;wife at his side.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born March&nbsp;4, 1938 in Franklin, he was the son of&nbsp;the late&nbsp;Everett W. and Lucinda H. (Woodard) Patterson. &nbsp;He was raised in Sanbornton and graduated from Tilton Northfield High School&nbsp;class&nbsp;of 1957.&nbsp; He proudly served his country in the United States Army and Reserves.&nbsp; He was a Founder of Oxy-Gon Industries, Inc. which was started in 1986.&nbsp; He also volunteered in many organization and&nbsp;activities&nbsp;in Epsom&nbsp;like the variety shows, Scout Master and Little League coach.&nbsp; In 2007 He and his first wife Carolyn were voted Citizen of the Year at Epsom Old Home Day.</strong></p> <p><strong>Maurice was one of the original founders and a lifetime member of the Fort Mountain Trailwinders Snowmobile Club.&nbsp; He was an avid snowmobiler who enjoyed many hours on Mudget Mountain in Stewartstown. &nbsp;He was a member of the New Rye Congregational Church, a member of the American Legion, Post 112, as well as the International Order of Odd Fellows.&nbsp; Maurice was known as a Jack of many trades, master of most.&nbsp; He enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding machinery, his whole life was organized in five gallon buckets with items being inventoried.&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Besides his parents, he was&nbsp;predeceased by his first wife Carolyn&nbsp;with whom he celebrated&nbsp;50 years&nbsp;marriage.</strong></p> <p><strong>Surviving family members include his wife Brenda Bartlett of 5 &frac12; years,&nbsp;his daughter Diane Cheney of Jefferson, Ma.&nbsp;,&nbsp;his&nbsp;son Glen Patterson and wife Sharon of Pittsfield;&nbsp;stepchildren Tracy Bartlett,&nbsp;&nbsp; Todd Bartlett and wife Susan of Boscawen;&nbsp;sisters Lois Wiggin of Concord, Barbara Chase of Canada, Lucile Patten and husband Albro of Concord, Patricia Ingerson and husband Roger of Pembroke;&nbsp;&nbsp;seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.</strong></p> <p><strong>There will be no services at this time, a celebration of Life will be held at a later date.&nbsp; The Still Oaks Funeral &amp; Memorial Home in Epsom is assisting the family with arrangements.&nbsp; To share a memory or offer&nbsp;a condolence please visit&nbsp;www.stilloaks.com</strong></p>
