Judith 'Judy' Hofferber

Early Wednesday morning on January 20, 2021, Judith ‘Judy’ Hofferber passed away peacefully in her sleep at Bella Terra Nursing Home from Covid-19. She also suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. A couple of months ago, she suffered from pneumonia and they said she wouldn’t make it, but she proved us wrong! A couple of weeks after that, she contracted Sepsis, and they said she wouldn’t make it, so I prayed to God and asked him for a miracle to allow her to stay with us through her birthday and Christmas, and my prayers were answered. I give thanks to the Lord for answering my prayers, but her body finally gave up on her. They say that things come in three’s, and this was the third and final stop for her. She had suffered enough and is now finally at peace and pain free with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Judy was born on December 17, 1941. She attended Garfield School and graduated from Senior High in 1960. She worked at Juro’s pharmacy shortly after that and met a customer (Arlen ‘Archie’ Hofferber) there, who became the love of her life. Judy and Archie were married on April 22, 1963. A couple of years later they decided to start a family and had two children: daughter Valerie (Dimitri) Evangeline and her children & grandchildren: Shaylene (Mathew & Riley), Nicole (Ty) Maughan (Jacob, Izabelle, & Logan); and son Cory Hofferber and his children: Kayleena (Kyle) Arnold, Chance, Keelan, (Persephone), and Chelyssa (Kynley). She was a loving stay-at-home Mother, Grand Mother, and Great-Grand Mother. She would do anything for her family because she loved them dearly. She also loved her animals, especially her cat Chico. She would also feed the birds, the rabbits, and the squirrels. She also enjoyed being outdoors fishing, camping, picnicking, gardening, playing card games (especially Canasta), puzzles of all kinds, or just watching movies with her grandkids. She enjoyed life and her family and talking to whomever would listen to her stories (mostly about her cats and grandkids). We are all going to miss her terribly, but her love, spirit and memories will always be with us because LOVE LIVES ON.
