Craig Michael Standish, age 61, of Chesterfield passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, at his home. Craig was born February 21, 1959, in Detroit to Charles and Rosalie (nee Lines) Standish. He grew up in East Detroit and later in Roseville. He moved to the Chesterfield area in 1992 and has resided there since. Craig was retired after working as a Custodial Engineer in the Grosse Pointe School System for thirty years. Craig enjoyed cooking, cars of all kinds and he loved his pets. He also deeply enjoyed music and was always the first to discover the up-and-coming new musical artist. Craig’s sense of humor is one of the traits that we all loved about him. Craig was the beloved son of Charles and Rosalie. Dear brother of Colette (Tim) Durphey of Ortonville; Donna (Michael) Lincourt of Farmington Hills; and the late Kenneth Standish. Visitation and remembrance will be conducted from 2:00PM - 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Gendernalik Funeral Home in New Baltimore. Due to COVID-19, masks are required and there is a limit of 25 people. Memorials may be given Michigan Humane Society.
