Clarence Theodore Henry Sr. (Pee Wee) Age: 80 Newark, DE Clarence Theodore Henry Sr. (affectionately known as PeeWee) passed away on January 18, 2021 at his home in Newark, DE. PeeWee was predeceased by his father Harland May Sr, and mother Emma Morton as well as his brother Harland May Jr. PeeWee was an outstanding athlete in both track and football at P.S. Dupont HS and went on to graduate from Delaware State University. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Before retiring, Pee Wee served as a teacher, counselor and coach in the Christina School District for over 20 years. He taught at Lore Elementary, Central Middle School, Shue Middle School, and Christiana High School. PeeWee made an indelible mark on the history of Delaware track, soccer, and football. In track, he twice broke the state record for the broad jump in 1957 and 1959. In soccer, he served as the first African American Director of the Olympic Development Program for DYSA. In football, after being a member of the Blue team in 1959, he worked as an ambassador for future DFRC's Blue Gold games. He is survived by his sister Stephanie May Bowers, his 4 children- Michael (Joyce), C.T. Jr (Kara), Cameron, Curt (Angie), his grandchildren - Phillip, Curryn, Collin, Curt Jr (C.J.), Carter, Catelyn, Celina, and Eleanor, as well as 6 great grandchildren.
