The death occurred peacefully at the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, November 12, 2020, of Gerald Joseph Gallant of Stratford and formerly of Piusville, age 85 years. Beloved husband of Deanna (Reid). Loving father of Mark (Annette), Michael (Olivia), Stacy (Faye), Jeffrey (Christy) and Erin Klimes (Jan). Cherished grandfather of Zachary, Alexandra, Brayden, Brinley, Carson, Beckett, Petra and Mischa. Gerald will be missed by his brother Lomer "John" Gallant. Predeceased by his daughter Lori Lynn Gallant and siblings Jean Gallant, Elise Byers, Felice Forrest, Aubina Gallant, Aubin Gallant, Euclide "Joe", Noella Gallant and Dorice Richard. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. Due to current restrictions, a private funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Bloomfield. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Prince Edward Island or Special Olympics - PEI.
