Helen Young passed away in her sleep January 18, 2021. She was 94. Helen was married to Weldon J. Young from 1949-1981. She had two children Mark and Eugene (Maryanne) both of Gasport, three grandchildren Christie (James) Scully, Andrea Young, and Andrew Young, three great grandchildren Avelyn Young, Kaylinn Scully, and Autumn Scully. Helen was predeceased by her siblings Eugene Landrigan, Donald Landrigan, Robert Landrigan, and Mary LaPoint. Helen was a bank teller and a clerk for city hall. She was an devoted Catholic all her life. Helen enjoyed traveling in Europe, Disney World, Egypt, and the Southwest. She was an avid reader and singing (Helen was a member of the St. Patrick’s Choir). Helen loved animals and had many dogs and cats as pets throughout her life. She will be missed and remembered by many extended family members. Private graveside services will be held in Cold Springs Cemetery.
