Gloria M. Baggett, of Palmyra, passed away at 1:00 am Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be on January 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. The public is welcome to join the family at the Cemetery. Social Distance please. Gloria was born in Clayton, Missouri to William and Lena T. Berra Eller. She was married to Kenneth Joseph Baggett on June 24, 1952 in Overland, MO. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2019. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Ann (Sherman) Kiefaber of Pella IA, and Elizabeth Marie (Richard) Cody of New London, MO; Grandchildren, Lana (David) Sovereign, Lindsey (Joe) Justesen, Cody Baggett, and Hunter Baggett (Emma Foreman); Great-grandchildren, Sienna Sovereign, Erica Sovereign, Tyler Sovereign, Brayden Sovereign, Jacob Justesen, and Daniel Justesen; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Kenneth Joseph Baggett, Jr. and Mark Kevin Baggett, and son in-law Fred Manning. Gloria worked as a Secretary for MFA in Palmyra, MO and was a member of the King's Daughters and a Garden Club in Ellisville, Missouri. She started and participated in the BUNCO Babe club for over 50 years. She loved to spend time with her family and was passionate about sports especially when one of her grandchildren was involved. One of her biggest joys involved shopping, decorating, and entertaining. Her 4th of July and Super Bowl parties were amazing. Memorial contributions may be made to the King's Daughters Scholarship. Pallbearers will be Cody Baggett, Hunter Baggett, Joe Justesen, David Sovereign, Sherman Kiefaber, and Richard Cody. Honorary pallbearers will be Sienna Sovereign, Erica Sovereign, Tyler Sovereign, Brayden Sovereign, Jacob Justesen, Daniel Justesen, Dick Kramer, Leon Drebes, Robert Schwartz, Evelyn Browning, Mary Brown, Mark Cody, and Tim Reindl.
