Russell L. “Russ” Ince, 71, a longtime resident of the Aloha community, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove. RUSSELL LEE INCE was born August 10, 1949 in Alhambra, California, the son of the late James Russell Ince and Elfrieda Annie (Harp) Ince. He was raised and received his education in Palmdale, California, having been a graduate of the Palmdale High School Class of 1967. He was united in marriage to Lynn Jane Burkholder on May 10, 1970 in Palmdale, California. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past May. Following their marriage, they resided in the communities of Palmdale, California and Vernonia, Oregon, until 1977, when they move to their present home in the Aloha community, where they have completed since. Russ was a general contractor in the construction industry, having owned and operated RLIable Construction Company for many years, until he retired at the age of sixty-six years old. Among his special interests, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Russ also loved the building industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elfrieda Ince. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Ince; his two daughters and sons-in-law, April and Brian Tovar and Erin and Zach Unger and his son, Jacob Ince; his sister and brother-in-law, Doretta and Milton Dennis and his brother, Randy Ince. Also surviving are his nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105, in his memory.
