Viola Ina Munn Obituary

The passing of Viola Ina (Clowater) Munn of Fredericton, NB occurred on January 19th, 2021 at York Care Center. Born on May 15, 1924 in New Bandon, NB she was the last surviving member in her family. She was the daughter of the Late Henry and Bessie (Reid) Clowater and the wife of the Late Edwin J. Munn. She was a member of the Marysville United Church. Graduated from Ponds Secretarial School June 30, 1943. Viola was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting and sewing. Viola is survived by her sons Keith (Donna) Munn and Joey (Catherine) Munn and by her daughters Gail (John) Bergin-Brown and Patsy Spencer. Viola is also survived by her grandchildren Kevin Spencer, Carl (Natasha) Spencer, Jody (April) Munn, Jackie (Troy) Crouse and Jennifer (Mark) Munn-Busson, Tara (Frank) Plant, Chris (Katelyn) Munn, Patrick Munn, Tony (Jamie) Bergin, Terry (Shawna) Bergin, Travis (Stacey) Bergin, Mindy (Joey) Snow. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren Bri, Zach, Eric, Logan, Ethan, Jordan, Devon (Jessica), Jayden, Rian, Landon, Darian, Karly, Anthony (Sara), Lucy, Ryker, Jude, Ben, Brynn, Ethan, Riley and 4 great great grandchildren Ryland, Bently, Leo, Rylan. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son Lorne Munn, grandson Timmy Munn, son-in-law Dale Spencer, brothers Sanford and Milburn Clowater, sisters Hazel Stewart, Ferne True, Florence Trail, Gladys O'Leary and infant siblings May and Leo. A special thank you to nurses and all staff of York Care (Dixon) for the love and care they gave Viola and the love and care they give everyday to all residents. Due to current health situation, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery, Marysville.
