Paul E. Gundlach, Age 77, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021. Paul passed quietly at home surrounded by family after a long illness.


Paul was born to Marie and Gilbert Gundlach in Albany, NY on August 12, 1943. He was a resident of Scotia for 51 years and a member of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

He was a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College and Union College and an employee of General Electric for 32 years; after retiring he spent another 20 years as a bus driver for the Scotia Glenville school system


Paul loved adventure and spent his last years traveling the globe, visiting places like China, Italy, Ireland and Germany. He will be remembered as a good, reliable and kind man, if you ever needed anything, he would make sure you were provided for.


Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by: his brother, Frederick Gundlach, nephew, Grant Gundlach and his aunt, Helen Gundlach.


Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey Hall Gundlach, his children: David, Patricia, and Russell (Elaine) Gundlach, his sister Gail (John) Steslow and his grandchildren: Christopher Gundlach, Thomas Wickland, and Quintin (Alison) Jones.


Funeral services for Paul will be conducted at The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Glenville with interment immediately following at Park Cemetery in Scotia. Due to COVID-19 restrictions services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
