<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><strong>Marjorie Powell &ndash; Salem, NH</strong></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Marjorie Powell, age 90, of Salem passed away on Tuesday January 19, 2021 at Salem Haven in Salem, NH.&nbsp; She was born on August 14, 1930 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late, Frederick and Margaret (Dmitruk) Wholley.&nbsp; She was raised and educated in Lawrence and graduated from St. Mary&rsquo;s High School Class of 1948. She also graduated from the Fay Secretarial School in Boston. She worked as a secretary for various businesses, including at B&amp;M Baked Beans in Portland ME, before deciding to stay home to raise her children. She was married to William S. Powell (&quot;Bill&quot;) for 64 years until he predeceased her in 2015.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She loved to travel with Bill and they made several trips to Europe and regularly traveled to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Foxwoods to &quot;play the slots&quot;. She enjoyed the beach and entertaining family and friends by the backyard pool. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her Nana. She was a communicant of Saint Mary and Joseph Parish in Salem, NH for many years.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">She is survived by her daughter Janice Bowser and her husband Jeff Bowser, son John Powell and his wife Sorana Powell, grandchildren Meredith Carroll and her husband Josh Carroll, Erin Bowser, Matthew Powell, and Jessica Powell, and great grandchildren Ella and Bennet Carroll.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;">Funeral Services will be private. I enjoyed my mom telling me stories of her and Marge going to the soda fountain at Leahy's Drug store after school. She introduced my mom to my dad. A great friendship going back to 3rd grade is so precious.
