Lucille Hagler Obituary

Lucille Hagler, 72 Passed away peacefully at her home January 17, 2021 with her husband, daughter, granddaughter, and grandson by her side.

Lucille was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Lewis B. Story and Varie Franklin-Story October 15, 1948 and later moved to Denver, Co where she met her first husband Frankie Evans within their union, Lucille birthed Frankie Jr, Shrina, and Lonnell Evans. Lucille and Frankie divorced shortly thereafter. Lucille moved on to soon meet the love of her life, her soulmate of 49 years, her second husband Ronald Evans Hagler, whom she met at a local nightclub in October 1972. They were married December 14, 1976.

Lucille loved spending time with her family, talking on the phone with her siblings, friends and loved ones on a regular basis. That would really enlighten her spirit and bring peace and calm to her loving heart. She was the true definition of what family really meant. She worked at Mountain Bell, now Century Link – in Clerical Administration which she truly, truly enjoyed. After retiring from Mountain Bell Lucille was an exceptional home maker to her husband and children that she loved oh so dearly. She made sure to maintain their household while her husband worked early hours and occasional derailments that kept him away from home at times. She was extremely independent, loving, caring, classy and a bit sassy, jovial, and just full of life who also worked hard after retirement to help provide for her family.

Lucille also enjoyed drawing, poetry, sewing, cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling down to the country, and most notably hosting her card parties which she enjoyed oh so much. She was such an awesome host and amazing woman that really cherished gathering family and friends to have a wonderful time together. Lucille also had a trendy hat and jewelry collections. She was a very faithful woman and devout Christian that read her bible daily and served the lord with true purpose. She was a church member of the Potters House of Denver who gave her all to our most high God!

Lucille is survived by her 4 children, Frankie Evans (Amy Evans) Shrina Westmorland, Lonnell Evans (Toni Evans) and Senobia Hagler along with a host of brothers and sisters.
