JACQUELINE L. “JACQUI” PETERSON Jacqueline L. “Jacqui” Peterson, 53, a resident of the Forest Grove community, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the OHSU Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove. JACQUELINE LUCILLE PETERSON was born June 19, 1967 in LaSalle, Illinois, the daughter of the late Paul Savage and Ruth (Sine) Savage. She was raised and received her education in the LaSalle community, having been a graduate of the LaSalle High School Class of 1985. She was united in marriage to Michael J. Peterson on January 7, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They celebrated their 9th Wedding Anniversary earlier this month. Following their marriage, they resided in the communities of Gaston and Hillsboro, until 2015, when they moved to the Forest Grove community, where they have resided since. Jacqui worked in the Airline, Technology and Lumber Industries for many years. Among her special interests, she enjoyed painting with acrylics and traditional Indian craft work, including beads. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruth Savage. Survivors include her husband, Michael Peterson, of the family home in Forest Grove, Oregon; her two daughters, Samantha Kissel, of North Plains, Oregon and Taylor Knapp, of Forest Grove, Oregon and her two brothers, Jerry Savage, of Cary, Illinois and Jeff Savage, of Oglesby, Illinois. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the American Indian Center (AIC – aicchicago.org) in her memory.
