Joyce Elaine Lamertina

<p>Joyce Elaine (Rudy) Lamertina, 77, of Altoona, passed away Saturday evening at her daughter&rsquo;s residence. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Stella A (Williams) Rudy.</p> <p>Surviving are a daughter, Kim M. Lamertina (Robert Hoover Jr.) of Altoona; a granddaughter, Jessica A. Langer (Brian Lear) of Altoona; three great grandchildren: Owen Rockne Miller, Billie Rae Burket, Braydon S. Strunk and another great grandchild due in April, all of Altoona; three sisters: Jean Stuckey of Hollidaysburg, Mary Jane Rickabaugh (John) and Deborah Garber (Todd) all of Altoona; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Joyce was preceded in death by her former husband, William Lamertina Sr.; a son, William Lamertina Jr.; a granddaughter, Crystal M. Langer; three brothers: Samuel Rudy Jr., Gerald Rudy and William Rudy; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Stuckey.</p> <p>She was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School.</p> <p>Joyce retired from Valley View Home as an Administrative Assistant following twenty years&rsquo; service. She was previously employed for eight years at D&amp;M Linen and Lamertina Produce for over ten years.</p> <p>She enjoyed reading, going to and holding yard-sales, puzzles, extreme couponing, spending time with her family and her kitty, &ldquo;Gracie.&rdquo;</p> <p>A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Duane J. Coy officiating.</p> <p>Interment will be made at Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona.</p> <p>Arrangements are by Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations please be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 198, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.</p>
