Lillian "Lorraine" Anderson

<p>Lorraine (Lillian Lorraine) passed away 1-13-2021 at New Horizons Assisted Living in Anaconda, MT.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Renee as she was known to family and friends was born on 12-25-1924 to Gertrude Oldhaber and Andrew Anderson. She joined 4 siblings; Paul, Helen, Robert and Edna and was followed by three more brothers and sisters; Roy, Betty and Shirley.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Renee was a quiet, gentle child who attended St Peters grade school, Anaconda Junior High school and graduated in 1943 from Anaconda High school. She chose to further her education at Butte Business College.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Later on, Renee worked for many managers during her 42&nbsp;1/2 years of employment with the J.C. Penny Company in Anaconda where she put her many talents to use in the upstairs office.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Renee loved the Montana outdoors, and on winter weekends you could find her on the ski slopes at Discovery avidly enjoying the sport with her sister, Edna. In nice weather she pursued golfing, camping and hiking and especially family picnicking all around the Anaconda area. She loved and enjoyed the active endeavors afforded by the Montana outdoors. Renee was also an avid dog lover.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Renee and Edna travelled the world and especially enjoyed visiting their father&#39;s relatives in Norway. They traveled and enjoyed places all over Europe and to some more far-flung locations such as Morocco and Australia.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a family woman at heart and took part in that life through family trips, projects and holiday celebrations. She had a lovely voice and often sang along with the piano.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Catholic Church played a huge part in her life. She never missed Sunday mass and took part in many churches sponsored missions at St. Peters. Most Mondays she joined a group of parishioners to count money that was collected at the weekend masses.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Family members had great faith in Renee&#39;s ability to intercede for them with God as she had special devotion to his Son, Mary and Padre Pio. The beautiful ceramic Nativity scenes she made are treasured by her family.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Lorraine is survived by her Brother-in-law Michael Lemieux of Bountiful, Utah, Niece Connie Walner Rowe (Tom Rowe) of Seattle, WA, Niece in Law Elaine Walner, of Anaconda, MT, Paul Lemieux (C Kim) of Cary NC, Michele Lemieux of Boulder, MT, John Lemieux (Leslie) of Livermore, CA, and Deborah Lemieux of Bountiful, UT and many grand nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul, Robert and Roy and sisters Helen (Albert) Walner, Edna Anderson, Betty Anderson, Shirley Lemieux and nephew Robert Walner.</p> <p>Before she died she wrote an addition to her obituary wanting to thank Bob and Elaine Walner, Mary Pat Tuss, Dan Thomas, Vikki Coughlin for all their kindness and assistance.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Services will be held at a later date and time due to Covid restrictions.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Memorials may be sent to Anaconda Pintler Hospice, 118 E. 7th St. Ste. 1A, Anaconda MT 59711 or St. Peter&rsquo;s Restoration, 217 W.
