<p>Cathern Mae Stieringer Kuhn, 87, of Elk Garden, WV died on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Moran Manor in Westernport. &nbsp;Born on February 5, 1933, in Landes, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Monroe and Sadie Florence (Alexander) Whetzel.&nbsp;<br /> She was a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church and the Bayard Homemakers. She worked at Bausch &amp; Lomb in Oakland until the plant closed.&nbsp;<br /> She is survived by her children, Toni Cosner, Karen Evans, Joan Wills and Margie Stieringer; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Rowland and Ula Jane Chapman; a brothers, Walter Whetzel; and a number of nieces and nephews.<br /> In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kuhn, in 1986; a son, L. Allen Stieringer; a great grandson, Peyton Smith; brothers and sisters, Roy Whetzel, Emmit Whetzel, Raymond Whetzel, Luther Whetzel, Donnel Whetzel, Forest Whetzel Goldie Wratchford and Dorcie Callis.&nbsp;<br /> Friends will be received at the C &amp; S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from 4 to 6 PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 11 AM with Pastor Rebecca Bennett officiating. Face masks and social distancing are required and we ask that if you or a family member are feeling ill, please stay home and visit with the family at a later time. Interment will be in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.&nbsp;<br /> Memorials may be made to Bayard United Methodist Church. The service will be live streamed please follow the link below.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Cathern Mae Stieringer Kuhn, 87, of Elk Garden, WV died on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Moran Manor in Westernport.  Born on February 5, 1933, in Landes, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Monroe and Sadie Florence (Alexander) Whetzel. 
She was a member of the Bayard United Methodist Church and the Bayard Homemakers. She worked at Bausch & Lomb in Oakland until the plant closed.
