Kathleen Hilda MacDonald

The passing of Kathleen Hilda MacDonald of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late David MacDonald, occurred on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Born on July 27, 1948 in Campbellton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Benoit and Marielle (Louden) Savoie. Kathleen volunteered with the Fredericton Homeless Shelter and the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative Party. She was a relentless fundraiser for both organizations. Kathleen is survived by sons, Chris MacDonald (Roxanne) and Geoff MacDonald (Danielle); grandchildren, Brianna, Hannah, Allison and Kieran; sisters, Shirley LeBlanc (Joe) and Muriel Willett; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her brother, Melvin "Sonny" Savoie. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fredericton Homeless Shelter or a charity of the donor's choice.
