John A. McGaffigan
Peabody, formerly of Somerville – Mr. John A. McGaffigan, age 73, died at the Northshore Medical Center in Salem on Tuesday, January 19th. He was the longtime beloved companion of Nancy Flynn of Peabody. Born in Cambridge, Mr. McGaffigan was the son of the late John J. and Wilhelmina (Walker) McGaffigan. He had been a truck driver for H.P. Hood and was a U.S. Coast Guard Vietnam Veteran. In addition to his companion, Nancy, John is survived by three sons, Michael McGaffigan of Dracut, Thomas and Jeffrey McGaffigan both of Lowell; one grandchild, Reece. He was predeceased by his son John McGaffigan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Thursday from 4 – 6 p.m. Adhering to the mandate of the state and CDC guidelines, face coverings and proper social distancing will be required. A private burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.Obituary
