Lawrence Bertrand

Mr. Lawrence Bertrand peacefully passed away on the evening of January 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Mr. Bertrand was born August 12, 1929. He was an avid gardener, devout Catholic, and lifelong resident of Crowley, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held January 21, 2021 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 2:00 PM, officiated by Father Mikel Polson. Visitation will be held at 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM on January 21, 2021 with a rosary being recited at 11:00 AM at Geesey Ferguson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following Mass. Pallbearers will be Ogden (Butch) Myers, Justin Myers, Christopher Istre, Nicholas Istre, Antoine (Tony) Bernier, and Joseph Weber. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Cart, Jean Seaux, and Jason Seaux. Mr. Bertrand is survived by his sister Margie Bertrand Seaux; three daughters Brenda Cart, Debra Ruddock, and Trudy Istre; his three grandchildren Nicholas Istre, Tiffany Ruddock Matthews, and Kristi Istre Weber; and his great granddaughter Ariel Mikaela Balderas Istre. Mr. Bertrand is preceded in death by his wife Adelia Cormier Bertrand; his parents Jean Batiste Bertrand and Elute Cormier Bertrand; and four siblings Antoine Bertrand, Iola Bertrand Cart, Laurice Bertrand, Lillia Bertrand Hoffpauir, and Lillian Bertrand Myers.
