Anthony leaves to cherish his wife of 27 years, Tonnie Carter of Kansas City, MO.  Tony and Tonnie enjoyed their marital bliss traveling the continental United States (U.S.) attending local casinos, and bowling alleys.   Members of the Pioneer Gun Club, Lee Summit, MO, they were enthusiastic fans of guns. During additional free time,  Anthony played video games, “Call of Duty” was preferable. Finally, Anthony loved and adored visits to see his mother.

 In 1970, Anthony graduated from Westport High School, Kansas City, MO. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1974.  He started his work career at Allis Chalmers as an technician. Thereafter, in 1985 until retirement  2014,  he worked for The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority. Anthony received many accolades from the transit authority.  On many of occasions, he was awarded Employee of The Month which culminated into “Grand Master Driver.”    

Anthony  was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents.  He leaves to relish his memories, wife, Tonnie, mother, Poletha Webster (Springfield, IL); sons, Anthony Carter Jr., Robert Carter, Blair Williams, Brian Williams (Kansas City, MO); daughters, Milena Carter, (Jacksonville, FL), and Lynn Judge, (Independence, MO); three brothers, Maurice Williams (Kansas City, MO), Michael Williams and Sam Fields Jr., (Springfield, IL); three sisters, Valorie Benton, Yvonne Persley, Linda (Leonard) Shanklin (Springfield, IL); and a special cousin, Monica Logan (Kansas City, MO).  In addition, Anthony leaves in the sunset, 21 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
