John A. Milan Obituary

John A. Milan, 77, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Garfield, NJ, John raised a family with wife Nancy in Vernon, NJ, except for one year pursuing career opportunities in Tucson, AZ. Late in his career he moved to Sarasota, FL for a few years before returning to NJ – Toms River – to be with his family and Grand Kids 10 years ago.

He was the Owner of Marc-Allen Associates, General Contractors, in Montville, NJ, and later, Vice Present of Customer Service for multiple large development projects for Lennar in Sarasota, FL.

John was an amazing soul who lived simply. He gleaned satisfaction from life by giving selflessly to his family and friends, making people smile and laugh, passing down his knowledge, myriad skills, and his wisdom. John was the kind of person who made those around him feel special, and he left a very positive, indelible impression on all he knew.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Vilma (Urban) Milan.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 58 years Nancy (Natoli) Milan, his children; Mark and his wife Monica Milan of Gladstone, NJ, Toni and her husband Ray Shoemaker of Flemington, NJ, and Jennifer Milan and her husband Joe Stoll of Andover, NJ, his brother Jerry Milan, his sister Cynthia Hudson, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 5 to 7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St Catherine Blvd, Toms River, NJ.
