Visitation Details Tuesday, January 14th, 2014 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Dracut Funeral Home Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 10:00am, Holy Trintiy Greek Orthodox Church Interment Details Lowell Cemetery DRACUT- Mary (Natsios) Demetri, 88, of Dracut, died Saturday morning, January 11, 2014 at Palm Center Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Demetri. Mary was born in Dracut on April 19, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Christos and Stavroula (Maniatakos) Natsios. She received her education in the Dracut school system and graduated from Dracut High School. She then continued her education and attended Modern School of Design in Boston. Prior to her retirement, Mary and her husband were proprietors of the former Walbrook Restaurant in Dracut for 26 years. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, and cooking. Mary was a life long member of the Holy Trinity Hellenic Greek Orthodox Church. She was a member of their The Ladies Philoptochos Society and The Daughters of Penelope. But her most cherished time was spent with her family. She is survived by her four children, George A. Demetri and his wife Stella of Hollis, NH, James A. Demetri and his wife Noule of Pelham, NH, Anne Scondras and her husband Tim of Dracut, and Elaine Piazas and her husband James of Pelham, NH; her eleven grandchildren, Stacey Sawyer, Jeffery Sawyer and his wife Kelley, Marya Lorden and her husband Raymond, Stephanie Demetri and her fiancé Brandt Wilde, Maryna and Kathryn Demetri, Harry, Anthony, and Timothy Scondras, Lea and Joanna Piazas; her three great-grandchildren, Lea and JJ Sawyer and Sofia Lorden; her five sister-in-laws, Catherine, Helen, Cynthia, and Bessie Natsios, Irene Mountzouris and her brother-in-law John Demetri; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings Olga, Anthony, Louis, Peter, and James Natsios and her grandson Johnny Piazas. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on Tuesday, January 14th from 4 until 8 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, January 15th at 9 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Hellenic Greek Orthodox Church, Lowell. Interment to follow in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell. Donations may be made in Mary's name to Holy Trinity Hellenic Greek Orthodox Church, 62 Lewis Street, Lowell, MA 01852.
