Demarrius De'Von Peticoalas, affectionately known as DeMar, life began on June 30, 1995, to Gregory Smith and Laura Peticoalas, in Williamsburg, VA.  His heavenly journey began on Saturday, January 16, 2021.

DeMar was a sweet and caring soul, who was always happy and smiling. Anyone that met him truly loved him. Mar-Mar, as his mother Laura would affectionately call him, loved to play video games with his friends for hours. Gregory and Laura will miss their baby boy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a niece, uncles, aunts, and one devoted great-aunt, Pearlene Rivers. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his parents, Gregory Smith and Laura Jean Peticolas; sister, Crystal Williams Arnold (Leviticus); three brothers, Deshawn and Dominique Peticolas (Sierra), and Gregory Smith, Jr.; three aunts, Hazel Peticoles, Rita Allen (Peter), and Deeta Coles; four uncles, Charles Peticolas, Royal Cousins (Rosalyn), Edward and Elwood Coles; dedicated cousin, Grindl Rivers; godmother, Jacqueline Lewis; extended aunts and uncles, Samantha Cherry, Natashua Hester, Venisha McBride, Shon Carter (Angel), and Tarik Anthony; four nephews; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021, at Whiting's Funeral Home, with Dr. Morris L. Randall Sr. officiating.  Due to the current health pandemic, only 50 people may be in attendance with facial coverings and social distancing requirements.  Facebook Livestream will be available at the start of the service.  Mr. Peticoalas may be viewed beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of his service on Monday.  Memorial donations can be made at: https://gofund.me/5d5b9da3.  Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.
