WEBSTER – Helen Pischke, 97, of Webster and formerly of Watertown passed away Sunday January 17, 2021 at Bethesda Home in Webster. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday January 25, 2021 at Fiksdal Funeral Service in Webster and will be livestreamed on Fiksdal Funeral Service Facebook page. Burial will follow at St. Otto’s Catholic Cemetery. Helen Wika was born on May 6, 1923 to Frank and Rose (Rumpza) Wika at Grenville, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grenville. She grew up near Roslyn, South Dakota and attended school there. After her education, she was married to Alfred Judisch. Alfred passed away in 1957. Helen then married Orval Bergland in 1960. To this union one daughter, Marsha was born. On January 28, 1983 Helen was united in marriage to Julian Pischke. The couple made their home south of Webster until they retired from farming in 1989. The couple then relocated to Watertown, South Dakota until Julian passed away in 2016 and Helen moved to Webster. Helen was a member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown and also a member of the Watertown American Legion auxiliary. Helen enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She also enjoyed visits from friends and family. She is survived by daughter Marsha (Duane) Bauer of Oak Harbor, WA, step-daughter Linda (Bob) Dolney of Webster, SD, step-sons: James Pischke, John Pischke, and Mark Pischke all of Webster, SD, granddaughters: Cassie Bauer of WA, Amy (Nathan) Fischer of Webster, SD, grandson James Bauer of WA, and four great-grandchildren: Connor, Kayla, Kelsey, and Carson Fischer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, six sisters, and four brothers.
