Giovanni Coletta of Mamaroneck passed away on January 18, 2021. He was 88. Born in Avellino, Italy on July 22, 1932 to Luigi and Francesca Coletta. Giovanni was the beloved husband of Maria Coletta (nee Minichiello) who predeceased him in 2019. They were married for 63 years. He is survived by his loving children, Luigi Coletta (Laura), Michele Coletta (Margaret), Peter Coletta (Marisa) and Amelia Spano (Anthony), cherished grandchildren, Elena (Earl), Christopher (Laura), John Paul (Mackenzy), Kevin (Amy), Katie, Joseph A, Joseph S, Danielle, Gianni and Victoria, and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Roman and Lorenzo and Avram. He is also survived by his dear siblings, Gelsomina and Dominico, of Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Friday at St. Vito’s-Most Holy Trinity R.C. Church, entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Lung Asscociation or The Allzheimer’s Association.
